Charter Duration

How long can my charter last?

Your charter can last from a single day to several weeks, depending on your needs and the yacht's availability. While week-long charters are typical, we also accommodate shorter stays and special events, as well as ambitious around-the-world journeys.

Charter Length Requirement

Must I charter for a whole week?

A week-long charter is standard but not obligatory. We're flexible to shorter or extended durations to suit your schedule.

Charter Start Date

Can I choose when my charter begins?

Absolutely, you have the freedom to select your charter's start date, subject to the yacht’s schedule.

Calculating Charter Rates

How are rates determined?

Charter fees are weekly-based, with pro-rata calculations for longer or shorter periods, adjusted for high or low seasons. The charter officially starts at noon on the first day and concludes by noon on the final day.

What's Covered in Charter Rates?

The rate includes the yacht, its crew, and all necessary equipment, insured against marine risks. Exclusions are VAT, provisioning, fuel, communications, canal fees, harbor dues, taxes, specific marina fees, and any costs for different embarkation/disembarkation locations.

Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA)

What is it?

APA covers the yacht's running expenses like fuel, food, mooring fees, and any special requests, typically between 25% to 40% of the charter fee. Managed by the Captain, a detailed account of expenditures will be provided for transparency.

Crew Gratuity

What is it?

While not obligatory, tipping 10% to 20% of the charter fee is customary, reflecting your satisfaction with the service. Handing gratuity distribution to the captain ensures equitable sharing among the crew.

Guest Capacity

How many can the yacht accommodate?

Capacity varies by yacht size and design, with a legal overnight guest limit usually up to 12. For larger parties, we can source yachts with higher capacities to meet your needs.

How do I find the right one?

Our charter consultants are experts in matching you with a yacht that mirrors your personality and preferences, offering a curated selection of the world's finest yachts after thorough personal inspections.

Booking My Charter

How does it work?

Our charter consultants are at your disposal to assist in selecting the ideal yacht, planning your itinerary, and managing all logistical details. Inquiries can be made via our online form or by contacting us directly.

Securing My Charter

What's the process?

Charter agreements require a 50% deposit to confirm your booking, with the balance and any applicable charges due one month before the charter begins. All terms, including the APA and additional fees, are clearly outlined in the Charter Agreement

Cancellation Policy

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation terms are specified in the MYBA contract, with the owner entitled to retain deposits or full payments depending on the timing of the cancellation. We advise consulting with your charter consultant for possible date alterations or further assistance.

KYC Requirements

What information is needed?

Compliance with anti-money laundering and sanctions regulations necessitates KYC documentation for all clients, ensuring a secure and trustworthy charter experience.

Customizing My Itinerary

Can I choose where to go?

Your itinerary is fully customizable, with our consultants ready to advise on destinations, marina availability, and regulatory considerations to create your ideal voyage.

Yacht Amenities

What can I use onboard?

All onboard amenities are at your disposal for the duration of your charter, ensuring a home-away-from-home experience.

Watersports and Diving

What are the rules?

Licenses may be required for certain water toys, with restrictions varying by location. A certified diving license is necessary to use SCUBA equipment, though instruction can often be arranged onboard.

Ensuring Personal Preferences

How is it managed?

A detailed preference questionnaire will help us and the crew cater to every aspect of your onboard experience, from food and wine to activities and entertainment.

Arranging Extra Activities

How do I plan additional experiences?

Simply inform your Charter Consultant of any special requests, and we'll coordinate with the captain and crew to ensure everything is arranged to your satisfaction.

Smoking Policy

Can I smoke on the yacht?

Smoking policies vary, with most yachts designating specific areas or prohibiting it altogether for safety and comfort. Please consult your Charter Consultant for details.

Charter Liability Insurance

Should I get it?

Though not mandatory, Charterer Liability Insurance is recommended for peace of mind, covering any damages to the yacht or third parties during your charter.

Trip Cancellation Insurance

Is it advised?

To protect against unforeseen circumstances, Trip Cancellation Insurance offers reassurance that you can recoup part of your investment should you need to cancel your charter plans.
